Thank you for considering North Shore Rheumatology.
I am a board certified rheumatologist and I see patients with a variety of symptoms and diseases. My particular interests include Rheumatoid Arthritis, Lupus, Spondyloarthritis, and Gout.
I received my medical training at Rush University and then completed my Internal Medicine residency at the University of Wisconsin followed by specialty training in Rheumatology at the Medical College of Wisconsin. I am originally from the northwest suburbs of Illinois and am happy to be back in this area with my husband and 2 children.
My goal is to develop a long lasting partnership with my patients. This is one of the most rewarding aspects of my job and one of the reasons I specialize in rheumatology. I enjoy and consider it a privilege and honor to really know my patients and be a part of their lives.
Listening to my patients and providing education about their disease are two of my top priorities during an office visit. I believe open communication and education are key to developing an individualized treatment plan that meets the unique needs of each patient.
Thank you for visiting our website and I look forward to meeting you.
                                                                                  Kathryn Kiehn, M.D.
